Matthew
Zeidenberg holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science (University of
Wisconsin-Madison) and a Ph.D. in Sociology, also from the UW-Madison.
He has a B.A. in Physics from Harvard. His sociology Ph.D. dissertation
addressed trends in federal civil litigation. In computing, his
interests include information retrieval, artificial intelligence,
and neural networks; he has published articles and a book on these
topics. In sociology, his interests include urban economic development,
labor markets, the sociology of science and technology, and the
sociology of law and regulation. At COWS, he has worked on a wide
variety of projects, many involving regional economic analysis and
the status of workers.
