In addition to overseeing COWS activities, COWS Director Joel Rogers
has produced a significant body of academic and other work on contemporary
issues and problems. While some of this is highly technical, much
is perfectly accessible. It covers a wide range of issues in democratic
theory, political parties, labor unions, industrial relations, high
road economic development practice, urban development, education
and training, trade and industrial policy, pension politics, and,
more generally, progressive political strategy.
