The State of Working Wisconsin

Contact: Laura Dresser, COWS Research Director, ldresser at cows.org

The State of Working Wisconsin is a comprehensive report, issued every two years by COWS, that examines the changing economic position of working people in the state. Using data on family and household incomes, wages, hours worked, taxes, unemployment, wealth, and poverty, we document current trends about economic well-being and put them in perspective through comparisons with past Wisconsin performance, the experience of neighboring states, and the nation as a whole. The 5th edition was released on Labor Day, 2004.
