Financing Wisconsin's Future:
Politics, Economics, and Public Opinion
A conference cosponsored by COWS and the Wisconsin Council
on Children and Families (WCCF)
Madison, Wisconsin, June 22, 2004, 9:00-4:00
While many Wisconsin residents are worried about their tax burdens, they
are also deeply concerned about cuts to public services (health care,
education, etc.) in the state. "Financing Wisconsin's Future"
offered hundreds of public officials and concerned citizens a unique opportunity
to find out first-hand what the Wisconsin electorate really thinks about
the state budget. It also provided a forum for lively debate about the
economic and political implications of tax policy.
